ARMY:

There are two ways of joining the Indian Army:

  1. NDA Examination

The requirements for entry into NDA are:

  1. Age: Should be more than 16, but less than 19
  2. Qualification: Only passing marks in 12th standard
  3. Training Duration: 3 years in NDA and 1 year in IMA, Dehradun

6.Selection Procedure: 1. Written Exam
                                         2. Service Selection Board Interview
                                         3. Physical Test

 2. TES (Technical Entry Scheme):

              The requirements for TES are

  1. Age: Should be more than 16, but less than 19
  2. Qualification: 70% in physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 12th
  3. Training Duration: Total training will be 5 years.
    (a) Basic Military Training. 1 year (Officer Training Academy Gaya)
    (b) Technical Training. (i) Phase-I (Pre-Commission Training): 3 Years
    (CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad)
     (ii) Phase-II (Post Commission Training): 1 year at CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad

AIR FORCE

You can join Air force only by entering NDA

  1. Age: Should be more than 16, but less than 19
  2. Qualification: Passing marks required in 12th
  3. Training Duration: Technical Trades: 16 months(8+8) training in two 
                                     parts
                                     Non- Technical Trades: 12 months(8+4) training

2. Graduate Cadet Special Entry Scheme

The requirements to get in are:

  1. Age: Should be more than 16, but less than 19
  2. Qualification: Atleast 70% in PCM
  3. Training Duration: 44 Weeks – Naval Orientation Course
                                     06 Months – Officers Sea Training
                                     06 Months – Sub-Lieutenant
                                     32 Weeks – Sub – Lieutenant with Technical Skills
                                     06 to 09 Months – Final Certification Course
