According to reports by News18, The ED has filed a fresh charge sheet against Nirav Modi, accused for PNB bank scam. Reports suggest that this charge sheet has been fled in Mumbai, under Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

The charge sheet filed is a supplementary charge sheet and investigation agencies have also gathered additional evidences in the case. The exact content of the charge sheet are not revealed yet.

The news surfaced a couple of days after a British daily came out with a report showing that Nirav Modi is living in the UK in a stupendously expensive apartment in London’s West End and also that he is now involved in a new business (related to diamonds).

The Indian agencies like CBI are continuously looking into this matter and investigating the fraud by Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi. According to reports by the Telegraph, Nirav Modi is living a 3BHK flat occupying half of a floor of the landmark Centre Point tower block in London. Reports suggest that the rent for the flat is somewhere around 17000 pounds a month. Agencies have listed Nirav Modi’s assets to be worth Rs 1,873.08 crore under the PMLA and has managed to successfully seize assets worth Rs 489.75 crores.
